"WHY WAS I NOT AT COACHELLA?"

Wednesday, 16 April 2014

With half of my instagram feed posting photos of Coachella (making me ridiculously jealous), its probably the right time to make a festival inspired post. I recently went shopping to Brighton and brought a huge number of things for summer as this year i'm lucky enough to be going to Ibiza, Kos, Zante, (fingers crossed Reading Festival if i have the funds) and Outlook Festival in Croatia.

One of my favourite purchases was this simple black dress. Last year i bought a similar playsuit from H&M in the same material with a cut out back and have worn it all through the year, layering it with long sleeved (usually striped) tshirts, tights and boots. I decided to mix it up a bit this year with a dress, which i wouldn't usually go for however the ruched details on the skirt makes it suitable for day or evening wear. As it's not quite warm enough to wear it alone, i decided to team this with a simple cropped white mesh short sleeved tee and my CAT's for an effortless outfit.

I also recently bought my Caterpillar boots on ebay, which i won for £19. I'm very aware its coming up to summer and steel toe boots are going to be sweltering but for that price i just had too. If they weren't so warm i wouldn't even hesitate wearing mine to the festivals I'm going to this summer (particularly as chunky black boots have become one of my slight obsessions!)

I did warn you that my new hat was likely to be in most of my future posts, but honestly it's literally the most convenient thing when you're having a bad hair day..

You may have noticed I'm also slightly more brown then before and although i wish this was because I've just returned back from Coachella it's actually all thanks to St. Tropez Self Tanning Mousse. Although yes, St. Tropez is a little pricey at around £30 i promise you its worth it. It definitely provides a natural looking tan in hours and is incredibly easy to applicate reducing the likelihood of streaks and stains. So go buy it :)

If you have any ideas for future blog posts just let me know :)
